What Manchester Imagination Library think about getting the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service?

We are overwhelmed to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, which reflects on the work carried out by the volunteers of the project. Most importantly though is that we have received this award on behalf of the families who have benefitted from this project and we will carry on applying for funds and working with partners to enable the project to reach ALL children aged under 5 years across Manchester.

Our Aims

Support children to develop a love of books and reading
Increase the frequency of reading in the home
Support the development of early literacy, communication and language skills
Supporting the children to be ready for school
Support adults back into work through accessing volunteering and training opportunities

Our Mission

To promote early education for the public benefit in particular, but not exclusively, by the provision of free, high quality books for children aged under 5 living in Manchester.
